I recently stayed at the Dancing Bear Inn in downtown Nelson for a quick visit with my best friend. The private room was quiet, comfortable, and warm, with extra pillows and a nice sink. The lobby/living room was cozy and inviting, perfect for relaxing and enjoying a cup of coffee. The host was incredibly helpful with suggestions for places to eat and plan our day trips. The hostel had one of the best private rooms I've stayed in with a clean and new interior. The kitchen was spacious and well-equipped, making it easy to store and prepare food. The staff was friendly and accommodating, adding to the positive experience.
There were a few minor drawbacks that affected the overall experience. the lack of drinking glasses and hooks in the room for towels or clothes was inconvenient.

Great location in the heart of downtown. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The kitchen was small and could be crowded when multiple groups were trying to cook at the same time. The water quality was questionable, tasted like bleach and made some of us feel sick.
